A family of four moved into a triplex with plenty of space and wonderful natural light, but devoid of warmth and character. While maintaining the modern, open feel of the lofty space, we created a colorful yet sophisticated environment in the new home.
From custom furnishings and vintage pieces to artfully reclaimed materials, every detail reflects the family’s desire for a home that is both stylish and functional. Sustainability is thoughtfully woven into the narrative, enhancing the project’s character without overwhelming its story.

The living room is grounded with a rug made from 100% recycled content, in a custom design inspired by a painting by one of the clients’ children.
Vintage furnishings and reclaimed urban wood cat perches from a lower east side construction project contribute to the sustainability priorities of the client.
Biophilic patterning is used in subtle ways to help create a calming and happy environment.
